In what scenario will my lock cylinder need to be replaced?
We recommend the Yale Platinum 3 Star Thumbturn cylinder. If your have an alternative Thumbturn cylinder, you will need to use the included Thumbturn Adapter.
If you have a cylinder without a Thumbturn, your cylinder will need to be replaced if you still wish to operate the lock with a key. Your cylinder needs to protrude from your lock by at least 3mm on the internal side.
How easy is the Linus® Smart Lock L2 Lite to install?
The Linus® Smart Lock L2 Lite is designed to offer hassle-free installation. As part of this, there is no drilling or damage to the door, with step-by-step instructions provided (less than 3 minutes on a compatible cylinder).
What methods can be used to operate the Linus® Smart Lock L2 Lite, for example, can I use an app or a PIN code?
The Linus® Lite Smart Lock L2 can be operated via the Yale Home app. You can allow app access to guests via virtual keys (the properties listed in the keychain). PIN Code and Fingerprint access are possible if a Yale Smart Fingerprint Keypad (sold separately) is installed. Access is also possible via the Yale Dot® (sold separately), and for emergency situations, a mechanical key can be used. This lock is NOT compatible with Yale Key Cards or Key Tags.
How can I use KeySense™ ?
KeySense™ allows users to press a button on the smart lock to lock and unlock their door. A short press locks or unlocks the door immediately, while a long press locks the door with a customisable delay, which can be set in the Yale Home app. On lift-to-lock doors, please ensure you lift your door handle when you leave the house, otherwise KeySense™ will not engage the locks on your door.

What is the expected battery life of the Linus® Smart Lock L2 Lite?
The battery lifetime is dependent on the number of turns per locking, the smoothness of the door opening, the number of openings per day, and signal strength. Based on normal usage, the battery will last up to 6 months.
